Editorial Policy — NaamJee
NaamJee is a free stylish name maker for India, and this editorial policy explains how every page is written, how styles are checked and how we record what has and has not been tested. It is written by the NaamJee team and updated when our method changes.
Who writes the pages
All pages are written and reviewed by the NaamJee team. We do not use invented authors or credentials. When a page needs facts about a game or an app, we use the published rules and say when they were last checked.
How a style is made
Styles are built from Unicode characters. For each style we keep the character count, because games limit name length. We do not claim a style is a font: it is a different set of characters that look like a font.
How we record whether a style works
Each style can have one of three states for an app or game: works, blocked, or shows as a box. A state is recorded only after someone on the team has tried the style on a real device or account, together with the device, the app version and the date. If we have not tried it, the page says “not tested” instead of guessing.
- Works: the style was accepted and displayed correctly.
- Blocked: the app or game refused the name or removed characters.
- Shows as a box: the style was accepted but the font could not draw it.
Retesting
Games change their rules with updates, so any recorded result is rechecked when a new game version is released or when a reader reports a change, and at least every 90 days for the pages that get the most visits.
Changelog
Last test date: none yet. As of October 9, 2026 the team has not yet recorded a test in a game account, so the pages mark every game as “not tested”. This section will list each test with its date, device and result as soon as one is done.
Corrections
If you find a mistake or a style that does not show, tell us on the contact page. We fix confirmed errors and update the page.
FAQ
Do you test every style in every game?
No. We test what we can and clearly mark what we have not tested.
How often do you update the pages?
When a game releases a new version, when a reader reports a problem, and on a regular schedule for the busiest pages.
Can I trust the character counts?
Yes. They are counted by the site from the actual text of each style, though a game may count some symbols differently.
